Summit Presenter

Krissy Lemon

Krissy Lemon is a Deaf Puerto Rican-American versatile artist. She was born and raised in a Deaf family. Krissy graduated with a degree in Acting at Florida School of the Arts. In 2015, she received “Against the Odds” LeRoy Alumni Award (voted by State of Florida collegiate). In 2016, she was involved as a touring performer with RIT/NTID’s Sunshine 2.0 troupe. She has performed at many schools in the northeastern area (deaf, mainstream, and public) to educate about the importance of STEM through performance and presented workshops. In 2019, she worked as an assistant dance instructor at Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. Krissy landed her first short film role in “Tacet” as a deaf edgy musician. In July 2020, she won her first Award of Excellence for Best Supporting Actress at the Vegas Movie Awards. “Tacet” also won several awards such as Best LGBTQ Short and Best Women Short at Independent Shorts Awards. This spring, Krissy performed as Azrael and Clerk in Deaf West’s “Orphee”. This summer, Krissy taught virtual acting classes for the age of 10 - 12 for the Deaf, HH, and CODA. Vigorously passionate with the creative arts, she is a visual and performing artist; She is a graphic designer, digital painter, a writer and a dancer. When she unwinds, she enjoys laughing along to Brit-Com and building a pillow fort with her beloved cat.
