How to Be Natural And Use Modulation in ASL

0.3 CEUs, PS

This workshop will demonstrate how to interpret using modulation in our signs and facial expressions. Modulation is important because we want the Deaf Consumer to be able to grasp the main point of our message. We do not want our interpreting to be monotonous.  Our interpreting should include appropriate variety in speed and facial expressions to make our points easily understood.  There will be ample opportunities to practice the offered suggestions.

So much helpful information. Reminding us as interpreters to slow down and think about the important aspects of signing. Size, space, speed, facials. It's sometime easy to get caught up in the "English". Appreciate the way it was broken down. Thanks again.

Clear & Concise. I walked away learning and feeling like this was worth my time! I don't feel overwhelmed, I feel like it was presented in such a comfortable and natural manner that it leaves me with easily attainable goals. Thanks Tim!
