Deaf Performing Artist

Giuseppe Giuranna

Originally from Italy, Giuseppe Giuranna is a sign language director and sign language artist. He is one of the most important exponents of the Visual Vernacular signing technique and continues to teach it. Giuranna has lived in Berlin since 1999 and works throughout Europe. He leads workshops, works as an actor and directs at the German Deaf Theater, at the Berlin Sign Language Festival, at the Sommerblut Festival in Cologne, at Deafmedia and at the Albatros theater group.
FRID is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This Professional Studies program is offered for 0.3 CEU's at the ‘Some’ Content Knowledge Level.
